  • Sustainability Role in overall company's strategic plans
We have always sold mostly handmade products, with no extra packaging. But now we are changing the way we buy and design to be sustainable in both product and packaging.
    Sustainability initiatives
Wherever possible we have taken single use plastic out of our supply chain. Using paper and card alternatives instead.
    Pledges for the year
We are conatnstly improving our product offering our supply chain and packaging
    Sustainable Products
    Jute baskets
Jute fibre is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable and thus environmentally friendly. A hectare of jute plants consumes about 15 tonnes of carbon dioxide and releases 11 tonnes of oxygen. Cultivating jute in crop rotations enriches the fertility of the soil for the next crop.
    Mango Bowls
Mango wood is highly sustainable due to its cultivation as a fruit tree. The trees grow to maturity relatively quickly for a hardwood, reaching maturity after about 15 years. At this point they begin to produce less fruit, or stop altogether. That it when it is harvested for homeware /furniture.
    Woollen Decorations
Wool has long been accepted as an environmentally positive fibre choice with a number of benefits, such as being 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable. Not to mention that it is thermo-regulating, easy to care for, and can be repaired and enjoyed for years and years.
    AT THE FAIR
    NEW TO THE FAIR
