Why do I love working across the 'Home' destination sectors and why do I feel I have affinity to this side of the market? I've a genuine and vested interest in home interiors, lifestyle and fashion.

Having renovated several houses and being married to an interior designer is certainly topical and beneficial to my role, also surely part of the reason I've looked after the home suppliers and content at Spring Fair for the last 13 years. Needless to say there is always an interiors related topic under discussion in my household (normally an expensive one that's aspirational but that can be achieved on a fair to modest budget). My wife and I collect art, ceramics, glassware and objet de curiosit'. With a former antique dealer and pot collector as part of the family, there is simply a very close relationship with buildings and their interiors running through the family.
I've a fairly eclectic style mixing old and new, and also forever items and fashion based pieces together in equal measures. I particularly like the aesthetics of the 'Home, Living & D'cor' and 'The Summerhouse' sections and I strive for the perfect edit within the shows. The owners of these businesses are particularly fun to work with, a passionate and intelligent group with wonderous creative flair, and whilst thoughtful and considered in their business decisions, it offers the perfect match and challenge for me.
